Dayton Progress DAYLube high-performance grease
When subjected to the ASTM 4-Ball Weld Test, new DAYLube high performance grease performed well, with no welds and only minimal damage to the ball bearings.
This is in sharp contrast to competitive greases which, when subjected to the same parameters, suffered a soft weld within two seconds and complete failure and major damage to all four balls. The key to DAYLube success is the nanoceramic particles which act as sub-microscopic ball bearings to provide continuous lubrication for conveyors, bearings, bushings, cables, cams, chains, gears, lifters, machine parts, slides and other surfaces which require lubrication.
DAYLube has a much lower coefficient of friction at all temperatures than traditional PTFE greases, and it maintains its viscosity across a full temperature range. Chemically inert DAYLube is also environmentally friendly, making it ideal for use in sensitive environments. Extraordinary adhesion extends production up to 10-times that of other greases. This proven nanoceramic lubricating grease does not soften or run out – even after 100,000 production strokes it shows no evidence of breaking down. DAYLube provides unparalleled friction reduction and wear resistance.
DAYLube operates in temperature ranges from -40°F to 800F – and the nanoceramic particles remain intact to 2500°F. This unique operating range coupled with the products NSF-H1 Food Grade Certified status make it ideal for high-temp food applications like lubricating chains and drives for conveyor ovens in commercial bakeries, the baking of cookies, crackers, and other snack foods, and more.
DAYLube has high load-bearing properties, a low dielectric constant, does not contain metal or silicone and is resistant to steam, acids, and most chemical products.
“Customers using DAYLube report significantly longer service life – up to 10-times longer – than traditional PTFE lubricants” said Dayton Progress marketing communications manager Bob Hedrick. “Even when compared to nanotechnology products, DAYLube has a lower cost per ounce. When considering all factors there is not a better lubricating value than DAYLube”
In addition to the new 1 and 5-gallon pails, DAYLube is available in 16-ounce tubes and 16-ounce jars, as well as cases of 12 each (jars or tubes). Industries benefiting from the use of DAYLube include aerospace, agricultural, automotive, can makers, consumer goods, food and beverage processing, general manufacturing, marine, material handling, medical/scientific, military/national defense, pharmaceutical, stamping & fabricating, truck & bus, and more.
